The Sub Aqua Section is the British Sub Aqua Registered Club.

"BSAC 501 Divers, Folkestone."

This active section provides a friendly welcome to all Sub Aqua enthusiasts.

From beginners, to the more experienced, we can encourage and guide you how to dive safely around the Kent coast.

The club is a recognised BSAC teaching establishment .

Training  can be provided to Advanced Diver including Compressor Training and Nitrox Blending.

The Club follows the national training programmes set by BSAC to achieve the required standards.

Divers who have started training under PADI or other diving authorities can gain equivalency BSAC diving grades without having to restart all of their qualifications again. Our Training Officer will advise you and along with the Club Diving Officer develop a personal development plan for you.

We have our own compressor room for charging cylinders with air or Nitrox; air charging is free to members, there is a small fee for Nitrox.

Group or single dives are organised using dive boats owned by club members, or those of local dive operators.

Most diving is offshore wreck diving, but some shore diving can be arranged and those who have an interest in Marine Life can also join Kent Sea Search.  Lake diving takes place for training.

The Folkestone harbour authority require all dive boats to have VHF radio and insurance.

Safe enjoyable diving, is the club aim, club dives are managed in accordance with BSAC standards.

The Sub Aqua Section meets every Wednesday evening from around 8 p.m. Sub Aqua members run the bar on these nights, you can always find someone to talk shop and listen to dive stories.  Call down to find out what we can offer.
